Consent-based connection
Finding a learner does not grant access. The relationship begins only after the learner reviews and accepts the request.
Search using an email address, username, linking code or name. Results expose only the details needed to identify the correct person.
Choose the parent or guardian relationship and send a request. No progress information is shown at this stage.
The learner can accept or decline. Accepted links can later be removed, and link limits are managed remotely by Study Surge.
Privacy by relationship
Linked adults see learning information intended to support the learner. They do not receive the learner's passwords, private social conversations or the name of another app used on the device.
Clear expectations
The learner app can report when it moves to the foreground or background and when a tracked study session starts or stops. A phone may delay or miss an update when it is offline, force-closed or restricted by battery settings. A background update cannot reliably tell whether the learner opened another app, locked the phone or was interrupted.
Questions
Connections, alerts and available information are explained before you use them, so every person knows what is being shared.
